Larks Atelier exists because I know exactly what it costs to have the talent but not the visibility. To do beautiful work that no one outside your existing circle ever finds. To wonder if photography can really pay the bills, and to feel quietly ashamed for hoping it can.
It can. And it should.
This studio was built to close the gap between where you are and where you're meant to be; with strategy-led Showit website design, SEO built into every page, and a guide who genuinely believes in what you're building.
More personally, Larks Atelier is an ongoing love letter to my children. To never stop learning. To never be afraid of faithfully venturing into the unforeseen. To push the boundaries of your own artistry.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
I started as a photographer; deeply in love with the wedding industry and documenting love stories that made me cry happy tears behind the lens. For a while, that was enough.
But somewhere along the way I fell into a trap I didn't see coming.
I became consumed by comparison, convinced that if I just worked harder, posted more, and shot better then visibility would follow.
I poured everything into proving myself and got further from myself in the process.
I hit a wall, hard. And in that quiet, frustrated season... the one where nothing was working and I didn't know why, I started redesigning my own website. Just for fun.
Then I started studying what made certain photographers magnetic online. Why some websites converted and others didn't. How SEO quietly filled calendars while photographers slept. I became obsessed with the strategy behind design and getting talented photographers away from self-doubt and found by their dream clients.
Hi, I'm Brittany. And I almost let comparison steal everything.
It turns out the problem was never my talent. It was that no one had ever handed me a roadmap.
Once I had the strategy, everything shifted. And I realized I couldn't be the only one wandering around without it.
My whole life I've been the person who sits down with the people she loves, maps the plan, and refuses to let them stay stuck. I did it for my husband as he pursued his path to becoming an Army pilot. I've done it for business owner friends; mapping directions, holding them accountable, cheering every step. It has always come naturally for others.
Larks Atelier is me finally doing it for myself, and turning that same relentless belief in other people into a business built to guide photographers out of the fog and into the visibility they were always meant to have.
I'm not just your designer. I'm the person who will sit with you, map the plan, and refuse to let you stay stuck.

Behind the studio
Building something of my own, in between outdoor adventures and lots of coffee cups.
When I'm not deep in a design or mapping out an SEO strategy, you'll find me with my husband chasing my toddler through the Alaska wilderness, the little boy we're fairly convinced is secretly training to become the next Ninja Warrior.
I'm married to my incredibly supportive husband, an Army pilot and my biggest cheerleader; and together we have built a life that looks a little like controlled chaos and a whole lot like adventure. Hiking, skiing, camping, paddle-boarding, long drives through landscapes that don't look real. It's quite the little life and I wouldn't trade a single season of it.
Running Larks Atelier in the middle of all of it is one of the greatest gifts I've been given. The ability to build something meaningful, on my own terms, while showing my kids what it looks like to go after what you love...
that's the whole point.
